    • Lotos Rallye goes Himalaya

Get ready for an extraordinary year! In 2026, for the first time in 13 years, the Lotos Rallye is embarking on a special edition that will take us across borders and into the heart of the Himalayas. We've designed a truly epic self-drive journey through India. This time, we're leaving our vintage jeeps behind to conquer the challenging, high-altitude terrain in rugged, locally-made Mahindra Thar jeeps. Our destination is the legendary Spiti Valley, and the road to get there is the adventure itself.

Your adventure begins in the urban hustle of Delhi, but soon the city melts away as you ascend into the lush, green hills of Himachal Pradesh. The roads, like winding ribbons, tighten and narrow as you pass through towns like Shimla. But this is just the beginning.

Beyond Kufri, the landscape transforms, and the real challenge starts. The roads become a test of skill and nerve as you conquer steep climbs, navigate challenging gravel paths, and ford icy river crossings. At dizzying altitudes of 3,000 to 4,500 meters, you won't just be driving; you'll feel like you're flying through the clouds, with every hairpin turn revealing a new, breathtaking view. This is a drive that demands every ounce of your focus, but the rewards are indescribable.

This is more than just a drive; it’s an immersion into a world of incredible feats and ancient wonders. You'll visit the world's highest post office, an exhilarating experience where you can send a postcard from the top of the world. You’ll also cross the planet’s highest suspension bridge, suspended more than 4,500 meters above the ground.

Along the way, you'll delve deep into the region's rich Buddhist culture, coming face-to-face with a colossal Buddha statue that gazes majestically over the entire Himalayan range. This isn't just a self-drive tour; it's a true expedition that will push your limits and forge memories that will last a lifetime.

The Lotos Rallye is once again in the expert hands of André and Lily. Working side-by-side with their trusted Indian partner, they are the dynamic team who will be your guides on this incredibly special, self-drive tour. Their passion and experience are your passport to an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Himalayas!
