Our guide and driver pick you up from your hotel at 3.30pm and drive you along the small red dirt roads through local villages and skirt lotus fields, giving you a truly authentic experience.

We will make a stop in a small, traditional village to visit a Buddhist pagoda. This serene site also houses an ancient temple dating back to the Angkorian era, offering a unique glimpse into Cambodia's rich historical and spiritual heritage.

Here, you will have the special opportunity to receive a blessing from a Buddhist monk. You'll take part in a meaningful lotus flower offering ceremony. Presenting flowers to Buddhist monks is a deeply symbolic gesture in Cambodian culture, representing respect and the giving of merit. The monks will return your offering with a traditional blessing, often accompanied by sacred chants and a red thread tied around your wrist for protection and good luck—a peaceful moment of spiritual connection, cultural immersion and tranquility. Afterward, we will continue our journey by jeep.

The surrounding lotus fields are so important to Cambodians as the lotus flower acts as a symbol of purity, the ability to overcome adversity and challenges, and rebirth. Your guide will explain this, and many other things, to you in detail. We also drive through vast rice fields and by the time the sun goes down, we will pick a nice spot with the jeep somewhere among the paddies. Here we will open a bottle of sparkling wine and toast to a beautiful sunset.
